WHO Reaffirms Commitment to Pakistan’s Health Initiatives

The World Health Organization has reiterated its unwavering commitment to aid Pakistan in reaching its health objectives, emphasizing support in the fight against polio and other infectious diseases.

In a recent telephonic conversation with Mustafa Kamal, Pakistan’s Minister for Health, Dr. Hanan Balkhy, Regional Director of WHO’s Eastern Mediterranean Region, lauded the efforts of the Prime Minister and local health authorities in their strides towards polio eradication. Dr. Balkhy assured that WHO will continue to provide support to bolster these efforts.

Both leaders concurred on the importance of enhancing collaboration in the health sector, aiming for more robust health security measures. Mustafa Kamal emphasized Pakistan’s dedication to strengthening global health security, reflecting a mutual vision for improved health outcomes in Pakistan.
