Christian leaders reiterated their commitment to Pakistan’s progress on National Minority Day and emphasized their community’s significant contributions. Busharat Athwal, referencing figures like Satya Prakash Singh, highlighted the community’s crucial role in the country’s formation, whose votes were instrumental in its creation. He showcased the Christian community’s continued involvement in sectors like education, health, business, armed forces, and sports, noting that Christian organizations serve all citizens without discrimination. He declared, “This country belongs to everyone, and we have always been and will always be ready to dedicate ourselves to its progress and security.”

Business leader Pervaiz Gill emphasized the positive impact of the Christian population on Pakistan’s economic development. He explained, “Our institutions not only create jobs but also connect Pakistani trade and industry internationally.” He termed National Minority Day a symbol of unity for all Pakistanis, regardless of their religion or sect.

Human rights advocate Saleem Michael stressed the constitutional guarantee of equal rights for all individuals. He mentioned the Christian community’s ongoing struggle for legal principles and human rights and emphasized the responsibility to leave behind a just Pakistan for future generations.

Shahbaz Saroya praised the valuable services of Christian institutions in education and healthcare, calling them notable achievements in Pakistani history. He viewed Minority Day as a renewed commitment to continuing their legacy of service and contributing to national development.

All leaders agreed that National Minority Day is not just a day of remembrance but also a reminder of Pakistan’s inclusivity. They highlighted the importance of cooperation between the majority and minority populations in building a prosperous and developing nation.
