The severe water shortage in the country’s Mangla and Tarbela dams and the issue of water scarcity in rainfed areas were discussed during the question hour session of the National Assembly. Member of National Assembly, Malik Shaker Bashir Awan, drew attention to this serious situation and questioned the federal government about plans to assist the affected provinces.
