President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in the capital today, commencing a significant two-day state visit to Pakistan aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation and trade relations.

The Uzbek leader is heading a high-level entourage, comprising senior members of his cabinet and prominent leaders from the business community.

During his stay, President Mirziyoyev”s schedule includes crucial delegation-level talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, which are expected to cover a wide range of mutual interests.

A formal meeting between the visiting head of state and President Asif Ali Zardari is also on the itinerary.

A key highlight of the diplomatic tour will be President Mirziyoyev”s address to the Pakistan-Uzbekistan Business Forum, signalling a strong focus on strengthening commercial and economic connections between the two nations.
