UVAS Leads Walk Condemning Israeli Actions in Gaza

The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore organized a solidarity walk to denounce the actions of Israel in Gaza and to support the Palestinian people.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Younus led the event at the city campus, joined by deans, faculty, and numerous students. The procession started at the Vice-Chancellor’s office and concluded at the Main Lawn after a round of the City Campus.

Participants vocalized their disapproval of what they consider to be Israeli war crimes and human rights violations in the Palestinian territories. Palestinian flags and banners were prominently displayed as slogans against Israeli aggression were chanted.

Prof Dr Younus urged for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from occupied territories and called on Islamic nations to leverage their influence to stop the violence against Palestinians. He commended the resilience of the Palestinian people amidst the ongoing conflict, expressing optimism that their sacrifices would eventually result in liberation from Israeli control.

He affirmed UVAS’s unwavering support for Palestinians in their quest for freedom from occupation. Similar peaceful rallies took place at other UVAS campuses, including Ravi Campus Pattoki, CVAS Jhang, KBCMA-CVAS Narowal, and Para-Veterinary Institute Karor Lal-Eason Layyah, echoing the call for solidarity with Palestine.
