US Ambassador Blome calls on Balochistan CM

QUETTA: Caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki, on Monday said that Balochistan was a suitable region for investment and investment of United States in Balochistan would further boost bilateral relations between U.S and Pakistan.

These views were expressed by him while talking to the U.S Ambassador to Pakistan, Donald Blome and Consul General of U.S in Pakistan, Conrad Tribble who called on him at Chief Minister’s Secretaria. Volume of trade between the two countries was required to be enhanced, said Domki, adding that assistance extended by U.S in different sectors in Balochistan, including maintaining law and order, education, economic development of women and communication, carried immense importance.

Praising the assistance of U.S to combat terrorism, crimes and modernise the process of investigation in Balochistan, he said that vehicles, modern gears and other essential goods had been provided to Balochistan police. He said that Balochistan province was trust worthy of traditions.

Speaking on the occasion, U.S Ambassador to Pakistan, Donald Blome said that U.S and international organizations extended aid to the flood affectees of Sindh and Balochistan, adding that assistance would be extended to Balochistan for promotion of tourism and preservation of archaic culture of Balochistan.
