Chief Secretary Balochistan, Shakeel Qadir Khan said on Wednesday that unnecessary delay in completion of people’s welfare projects could not be tolerated.

These views were expressed by him while chairing a meeting to review the progress of development projects of Health Department Balochistan and Schools Education Department, Balochistan. He said that the incumbent provincial government had reflected important development schemes, including the procurement of new machinery for government run hospitals of the province and provision of missing facilities in schools, in the budget for the fiscal year 2024-2025.

He said that as envisioned by the Balochistan, Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, steps were being taken to provide new machinery and medicines to all hospitals of the province, so that the best healthcare facilities could be provided to the people, adding that government has prioritised health and education sectors of the province. Directing the concerned authorities to ensure the completion of all development schemes of health and education sectors reflected in the budget for the fiscal year 2024-2025, he issued directives to the concerned authorities to provide pure drinking water to all schools of the province and ensure setting up wash rooms in all schools.

The meeting was attended, inter alia, by Additional Chief Secretary Home Department, Shahab Ali Shah, Additional Chief Secretary (Development), Planning and Development Department, Hafiz Abdul Basit, Secretary, School Education Department, Saleh Muhammad Nasar, Secretary, Health Department,,Saleh Muhammad Baloch.
