PESHAWAR: A gang of perpetrators attacked a school in North Waziristan area of KP, setting ablaze solved examination papers and causing significant damage to educational infrastructure.
The unknown iscreants attacked the school in Mir Ali, North Waziristan, and deliberately set fire to solved examination papers for ninth and tenth-grade students from 23 examination centers.
The brazen act of vandalism underscores the vulnerability of educational facilities and the disruption, which has endangered the academic progress of students. Police have registering an FIR and started search for the attackers.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident on December 30, 2023, assailants targeted the Government Girls Higher Secondary School in Kotka Mumbati Barakzai, Bannu. The attackers not only set fire to the school, causing extensive damage to its science lab, but also stole valuable items such as solar panels and vandalized the school’s infrastructure, including its boundary wall.
