The University of Balochistan (UoB) and its sub-campuses, except for the Kharan campus, will remain closed for winter vacations from December 16, 2024, to February 28, 2025. Academic activities will resume on March 3, 2025.

According to a notification, the university administration has directed Deans and Heads of Departments (HoDs) to remain present at their respective departments during the vacation period to safeguard assets under their jurisdiction. However, they may apply for leave with prior approval from the competent authority.

The notification further instructed all non-teaching staff to remain on duty during the break. Strict disciplinary action has been warned against those found absent without authorization.

Meanwhile, Provosts of boys’ and girls’ hostels have been directed to ensure that the hostels are vacated and closed by December 14, 2024, positively.

The Kharan sub-campus will remain operational during the vacation period. For any clarifications, students and staff have been advised to contact the university administration.
