Unidentified miscreants opened fire at Ufone tower in Killi Alyani Tehsil Luni area of district Duki in Balochistan province on Saturday.

Machinery of tower was also set ablaze. According to levies, unidentified miscreants opened indiscriminate fire at Ufone tower in Killi Alyani Tehsil Luni area of district Duki. Machinery of the tower was also set ablaze by the miscreants. Miscreants managed to escape after setting machinery of the tower on fire. On information, levies force Duki reached the site and started hunt for apprehending the miscreants. Further investigation is underway.

Separately, QuettaLoralai main highway remained blocked on Saturday for all kinds of vehicular traffic near Mekhter area of district Loralai, causing long queues of vehicles on both sides of the highway. According to detail, protesters of one tribe blocked QuettaLoralai main highway near Mekhter, creating hardships for passengers, including women and children.

Talking to media, including PPI, stranded passengers said that business deal between two persons had turned into tribal issue between two different tribes of Loralai and protesters of one tribe blocked highway. They called on Deputy Commissioner Loralai to hold talks with protesters for clearing the highway. Highway remained blocked till filing this report.
