In a significant stride towards promoting gender equality and child rights in Pakistan, UNICEF, in collaboration with the National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW) and the Ministry of Human Rights, organized a comprehensive three-day training session.
According to the UNICEF Pakistan on Friday, the initiative aimed to enhance the capacities of Gender Focal Persons across federal ministries, equipping them with essential skills and practical tools to design and implement more inclusive, girl-focused policies and programs.
The sessions emphasized the importance of understanding gender dynamics and child rights, providing participants with insights necessary to foster equitable development within their respective domains. A spokesperson for UNICEF highlighted the collaborative effort as a pivotal step toward achieving a more inclusive and equitable future for Pakistan.
Representatives from the Ministry of Human Rights underscored the training”s role in empowering government officials to break down barriers and actively contribute to the formulation of policies that reflect the diverse needs of all citizens, particularly women and children.
