UN Resident Coordinator Muhammad Yahya and Federal Minister Professor Ahsan Iqbal discussed the devastation caused by the recent floods in Pakistan.

Minister Ahsan Iqbal briefed the UN official on the damage assessment being conducted by a committee overseen by the Ministry of Planning.

This assessment is being carried out with the participation of the United Nations and other development aid organizations.

Agricultural and economic surveys will play an important role in determining the real impact of the floods.
