Pasban-e-Watan Pakistan’s central president and former minister for tourism and transport, Muhammad Tahir Khokhar, has stated that the two-party system in the country has established a cycle of power-sharing, preventing real progress and keeping Pakistan entangled in challenges.
He pointed out that the current governments lack clear policies and are focused on maintaining power rather than implementing measures for public welfare. He emphasized that terrorism remains a major issue, while the parliamentary system has become a financial burden on the national treasury.
Khokhar highlighted that under this system, neither sustainable planning has been carried out nor serious efforts made to resolve public issues. He stressed that people can no longer bear the burden of this governance model.
He reaffirmed that Pasban-e-Watan is actively working to bring a change in the system. He mentioned that every past government made promises but failed to address real concerns after assuming power. According to him, a genuine transformation is necessary to introduce a governance structure that truly represents the people.
Urging public support for Pasban-e-Watan, he underscored the need to establish a system that protects citizens’ rights and steers the country towards progress. He noted that inflation, unemployment, and corruption have increased hardships for ordinary citizens, who struggle to meet basic needs while the ruling class continues to enjoy privileges.
Khokhar reiterated that Pasban-e-Watan’s mission is to secure the rights of the common people and ensure transparency in governance. He pointed out that the youth are the country’s real asset, but the current system has left them in uncertainty. He mentioned that the party has plans to create employment opportunities, provide quality education, and develop young talent.
Concluding his remarks, he described Pasban-e-Watan as both a political party and a movement for restoring fundamental rights and establishing true democracy. He called on the people to move beyond traditional political promises and actively participate in bringing about real change.
