Two mine workers were killed and one other injured after unidentified assailants attacked tribal coal mines area of Duki on the night between Sunday and Monday.
According to police, unidentified assailants opened fire at tribal coal mines, resultantly, two mines workers namely Karimullah Doulatzai and Naeem Sulemankhail son of Jalat Sulemankhail were killed while another coal mine worker FazalurRehman son of Abdul Ghani sustained injuries in the incident.
Assailants managed to escape after private security guards started firing in retaliation. The bodies and injured were taken to Civil Hospital Duki for completion of necessary codal formalities and treatment, respectively.
The bodies were handed over to the heirs after completion of necessary medicolegal formalities. Further investigation is being conducted by the authorities of Police Station, Duki.
