A two-day training workshop titled “Narrative Building and Counter Narrative” kicked off at Pakistan Broadcasting Academy (PBA) in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The training workshop was aimed at educating the participants about modern-day requirements for transforming the mindset of society to perpetuate propaganda on different platforms, including the social media, in a smooth and fast manner.
Officers of Radio Pakistan News and Programme Wings, belonging to Islamabad attended the workshop in person, while officers from others stations participated through video link.
In his keynote lecture, Director General Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation Saeed Ahmed Shaikh threw light in detail on different aspects to influence and shape people’s opinions about any political, social or other matters.
Earlier, Principal of the Pakistan Broadcasting Academy, Dr. Javed Khattak in his welcome speech, thanked the participants for attending the training workshop, both in person and via video link. He emphasized that such workshops contribute to the capacity building of officers and officials within any organization.
