A delegation of the All Karachi Traders Alliance met with DIG Traffic Karachi to discuss traffic management in market areas during Eid shopping and presented their concerns and suggestions.

The delegation highlighted that camps have been set up in market areas, and requested the deployment of traffic police personnel to ensure smooth traffic flow, especially as markets remain open late.

They also recommended allowing rickshaws access to market areas to facilitate shoppers while ensuring that unauthorized extra-seater rickshaw stops are not established.

The traders assured full cooperation with the traffic police in addressing issues of illegal parking and encroachments in market zones.

DIG Traffic Karachi assured the delegation that their concerns would be addressed on a priority basis.

The trader representatives expressed their gratitude to DIG Traffic for considering their proposals.
