Karachi:Indus Motors on Thursday announced to shut down production plant of Toyota cars temporarily from September 28 to October 9.

In this regard, Toyota Indus Motors has formally informed Pakistan Stock Exchange through a letter.

According to text of the letter, Indus Motors said the plant has been temporarily closed for 12 days keeping in view the present situation of stock of raw material.

However, the company will inform in case of any change in temporary closure schedule, text of letter said.

Company wrote that there is a decrease in the demand for new vehicles and difficulties in the import of raw materials.
