A high-level review meeting chaired by Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb at the Commissioner Office in Rawalpindi focused on developmental initiatives and public welfare projects, highlighting the government’s commitment to infrastructure, civic services, and economic relief.
The session, attended by Barrister Danyal Chaudhry and other key figures, emphasized the importance of accelerating infrastructure development and improving civic services. Minister Aurangzeb praised the district administration for its effective management of Eid-ul-Fitr arrangements, particularly in refunding overcharged fares, which reinforced public trust.
During the meeting, Barrister Danyal Chaudhry hailed the federal government’s decision to slash electricity tariffs for domestic and industrial consumers as a significant step towards alleviating burdens on households and businesses. He described the tariff reduction as a “valuable Eid gift to the nation,” crediting Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership for prioritizing public welfare. Chaudhry expressed confidence that reduced tariffs would stimulate industrial growth and mark a milestone in Pakistan’s economic recovery.
