Thundershower expected in several areas of Pakistan

Pakistan Meteorological Department informed on Sunday that moderate monsoon currents are penetrating from Bay of Bengal in upper/eastern parts and likely to spread in central and southern parts from 29th July.

Sunday weather: Rain-windstorm/thundershower is expected in Kashmir, upper Punjab, Pothohar Region, Islamabad and upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. Heavyfalls may also occur in northeast Punjab and Kashmir. Hot and very humid weather is likely in other parts of the country.

Monday weather: Rain-windstorm/thundershower is expected in Kashmir, Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and eastern Balochistan. Heavyfalls may also occur in northeast Punjab, Kashmir and upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

Past 24 Hours Weather: Hot and very humid weather prevailed over most parts of the country. However, rain-windstorm/thundershower (isolated heavyfall) occurred at isolated places in Pothohar region, northeast Punjab, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and northeast Balochistan.

Yesterday’s Highest Maximum Temperatures (°C): Nokkundi, Dalbandin 47, Dadu, Sibbi and Chilas 45.
