ISLAMABAD:The three-day Shandur Polo tournament began on Friday in Chitral district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Commissioner Malakand Division Shahidullah Khan inaugurated the tournament. Laspur Upper defeated Laspur Lower with 5-1 in the inaugural match.

In the second match, Mastuj A defeated Yaseen A with 5-4. Different cultural programs will be arranged beside paragliding, food stalls, music night and traditional dances to promote tourism.

Every year, a large number of local and international tourists travel to the world’s highest polo ground in Shandur to witness the polo matches and cultural activities.
