Those responsible for Lakki Marwat ‘cowardly attack’ will be brought to justice: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi has strongly condemned the martyrdom of three police personnel in Lakki Marwat, vowing that those responsible for the “cowardly attack” will be brought to justice.

In a statement on Sunday, the Chief Minister termed the incident “extremely regrettable” and said that anti-state elements will not succeed in their nefarious designs. He praised the police force for their sacrifices on the frontline in the war against terrorism, and affirmed that the individuals involved would be apprehended and held accountable for their actions.

Mr. Afridi expressed heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the families of the martyred officers and offered special prayers for them. He reiterated that the provincial government stands in solidarity with the police force and promised that all possible support would be provided to the bereaved families, stating that the administration “equally shares their grief.”

Additionally, the Chief Minister paid a surprise visit to the Zamung Kor Model Institute for Orphans.

During his inspection, he met with the children under the institution’s care, listened to their problems, and issued on-the-spot instructions for their immediate resolution. The Chief Minister also interacted with the students and inquired about their academic progress.
