Those involved in May 9 violence won’t be spared: Sanaullah

Faisalabad:Federal Minister for Interior Affairs Rana Sanaullah has reiterated that those involved in May 9 violence won’t be spared.

Addressing a rally in Faisalabad in connection with Youm-e-Takbeer, he said that the rioters who were involved in the tragedy of May 9 will definitely be punished. “The people who attacked sensitive installations do not deserve any exemption, he vowed.

Interior Minister questioned how will the government answer the families of martyrs if it sits down for talks with the PTI.

“If we do this then what answer will we give to martyrs’ families? We cannot face them. When inquiry happens of all this matter then the responsibility will be attached to this fitna.”

Interior Minister claimed that the Lahore Corps Commander’s House contained many “sensitive” materials and valuable information.

He said Pakistan’s defense could have been compromised if they fell into someone’s hands. “These people burnt or took off with it. Is it not the army’s responsibility to recover it?”

The minister said that intelligence agencies intercepted audio that sheds light on a conspiracy hatched by the PTI to malign the country’s law-enforcement agencies. He said that the PTI planned to highlight human rights violations in Pakistan at the global scale after orchestrating a simulated raid at a certain known party worker, involving a rape and casualties caused by gunfire.

Rana Sanaullah criticized PTI workers come out and crying after being imprisoned only for four days. He claimed that the perpetrators of heinous crimes will not be forgiven.

He lamented that PTI chairman Imran Khan sowed the seeds of hatred. “Now the one who goes to jail immediately leaves the party.”

Interior Minister clarified that only those people whose “crimes are forgivable” will be forgiven amid the ongoing crackdown on May 9 protesters. “Those whose crimes are not forgivable can try all they want but will not be forgiven.”

Sanaullah said that the people who attacked Pakistan’s defense installations and attempted to weaken the country’s defense were no less deserving of punishment than Indian spy Kulbhushan Sudhir Jadhav.

“An attempt was made to burn his house too,” said Rana Sanaullah. He said that Faisalabad has expressed solidarity with the forces of Pakistan.
