Alhaji Idris Koko, Madawakin Gwandu, served the northern regional government in many positions, as well as the Sokoto State Government in many ministries as permanent secretary until he became the head of the civil service. He was also the minister of commerce and industry under the administration of Alhajii Shehu Shagari, nearly 40 years ago.
