The Government of Balochistan has declared four Levies personnel from Pishin district as “martyrs.” They were targeted in a terrorist attack while on duty in Daraban, Dera Ismail Khan district, on February 1, 2025.

According to a notification issued by the Home Department on March 20, the Government of Balochistan has decided to grant these personnel the status of martyrs.

This action is in accordance with the Balochistan Government Employees’ Benefits and Death Compensation Policy 2020.

The personnel who have been declared martyrs include Noor Ahmed, son of Nazar Muhammad (Naib Risaldar); Daud Khan, son of Ghulam Muhammad (Levies Sepoy); Rashid Az. Zaman, son of Muhammad Zaman (Levies Sepoy); and Bilal Ahmed, son of Sher Muhammad (Levies Sepoy).

The Government of Balochistan has described this decision as an important step in recognizing the sacrifice of these personnel.
