Thatta police arrest two notorious criminals

Police on Monday claimed to have arrested two notorious criminals wanted in robbery and other criminal cases in a raid near Makli.

According to a report by Thatta police, SHO Makli Police Station Ashfaq Ahmed Mangi leading a police team conducted a raid at Jakhra Graveyard area along Shah Murad Link Road in Makli and apprehended two alleged criminals identified as Ashique Ali and Abdul Razzaq, both residents of Makli.

The police also claimed to have recovered a pistol and an axe used in various criminal activities from the possession of the accused. Initial investigations revealed that the suspects were involved in multiple cases of robbery, theft, and motorcycle snatching in Thatta and Makli. The police have sought their detailed criminal records and have registered fresh FIRs against them.

The investigation further revealed the extensive criminal history of Ashique Ali. His record includes multiple FIRs registered under various sections, including illegal possession of arms, theft, and robbery. These cases date back to 2021 and involve serious offenses under the Pakistan Penal Code and the Sindh Arms Act.

SSP Thatta Dr Muhammad Imran Khan, under the directives from IGP Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon and DIG Hyderabad Range Tariq Razzaq Dharejo, has intensified the crackdown against drug dealers, habitual offenders, and other criminal elements across the Thatta district.
