Teenager Held In Iranian Prison: Father Pleads for Help

A Dalbandin resident has issued a desperate plea for the liberation of his teenage son, allegedly imprisoned in Iran for over two years.

Muneer Ahmed Muhammadhasni, speaking at the Dalbandin Press Club, stated his eighteen-year-old son, Muhammad Yasin Muhammadhasni, mistakenly crossed the border into Iran two and a half years ago.

The younger Muhammadhasni, formerly a student at Government Boys High School Chatar, is reportedly held in a prison in Mashhad. His father claims to have received a letter from his son detailing a demand for one lad Iranian Toman for his release, failing which he faces execution. The distraught father insists his son is innocent and was punished for unintentionally crossing the border.

He appealed to Pakistani authorities, including President Asif Ali Zardari, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Muneer, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, and Governor Balochistan Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, along with tribal elders, to intervene and secure his son”s freedom.
