‘Teachers being posted for examination duty on favouritism’

QUETTA: Teachers were being posted for examination duty on likes and dislikes basis and heavy amount had been received by Chairman, and other staff of BBISE for posting of teachers in the examination centres of Matric to be commenced shortly.

It was stated by President, Junior Teachers Association Balochistan, Muhammad Yousaf Kakar while addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club here on Saturday.

Terming the behaviour of Chairman, Balochistan Board on Intermediate and Secondary Education, Quetta with teachers of the province unjust and discriminatory, he said that each time anti education elements were posted in examination centre.

He said that exams had become the source of corruption and teachers were being posted in examination centres after receiving handsome amount of money. He called on Secretary School Education Department, Balochistan, Saleh Muhammad Nasar and other concerned authorities that inquiry of the affairs of Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BBISE), Quetta be conducted through Anti Corruption Department, Balochistan, National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Balochistan and Chief Minister’s Inspection Team (CMIT), Balochistan, adding that if the demand of Junior Teachers Association Balochistan was not entertained, protest sit-in would be observed before the office of BBISE on February 19, 2024 (Monday).
