Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has directed to formulate a comprehensive strategy to attract private investment in Pakistan’s maritime industry. He said this while chairing a meeting to review the performance of the National Shipping Corporation (NSC).

The meeting was briefed on the volume of NSC’s existing fleet, the volume of annual cargo handled in Pakistan, and the corporation’s future development plans.

Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the significant investment opportunities available in the country’s shipping industry. He directed the authorities to prepare and present a detailed plan to promote private sector participation.
