PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan has said that sports journalists have played key role in promotion of sports activities in the province.

He expressed these views in a message issued here on the occasion of World Sports Journalists Day. He said that the purpose of celebrating this day was to recognize the role of journalists in the promotion of sports and to appreciate their efforts for the promotion of sports.

Chief Minister said that the role of sports journalists is also very important in encouraging the players and solving the problems facing them. He hoped that sports journalists would play a more effective role in highlighting sports activities in the province nationally and internationally.
