South Waziristan: In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a Grand Sports Festival was successfully organized in the South Waziristan district in collaboration with the Frontier Corps. The month-long event showcased the region’s vibrant sports culture and community spirit.

According to Radio Pakistan, the festival took place at ten different locations across the district, featuring a variety of sports competitions. A total of one hundred thirty-six cricket teams, ninety-seven volleyball teams, and one hundred forty-six football teams participated in the event. Beyond the competitive sports, the festival also included activities such as tug-of-war, a circus, and the traditional Attan dance, along with various food stalls offering local cuisine.

The festival’s participants expressed their gratitude to the Pakistan Army for organizing such an engaging event. The sports festival not only provided a platform for athletic competition but also celebrated the cultural heritage of the region, fostering a sense of unity and enthusiasm
among the local community.
