The Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences at the University of Poonch, Rawalakot, organized a special event and awareness walk in celebration of World Veterinary Day.

Various speakers addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of the veterinary profession and the protection of animal health in society.

The chief guest, Professor Dr. Abdul Rauf Khan, stated that the role of veterinarians is multifaceted and their responsibility is not limited to just treating animals. He advised young students to raise awareness about pursuing the veterinary profession as a career.

Dean of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Professor Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed, emphasized that under the theme “Healthy Animals, Wealthy Nation,” it is essential for us to adopt the right attitudes in our profession.

At the conclusion of the event, a cake was cut, and students and faculty participated in the awareness walk.
