KARACHI/LAHORE:To mark Independence Day, special change of guard’s ceremonies was held at the mausoleums of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal on Independence Day. A contingent of the Pakistan Naval Academy cadets assumed honorary guard duties at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam in Karachi.
Pakistan National Academy Commandant Commodore Muhammad Khalid laid flowers at Quaid’s grave and recited Fatiha. Another special change of guard’s ceremony was held at the mausoleum of Allama Iqbal in Lahore. A smart contingent of the Pakistan Army assumed honorary guard duties in place of the Rangers at the mausoleum of Allama Iqbal. Garrison Commander Major General Qaiser Suleiman laid a flower wreath at Iqbal’s grave and recited Fatiha.
