Speakers at a seminar organized by the Muhib Qaumi Social Council (MQSC) on Tuesday in connection with the birth anniversary of Allama Iqbal, held “sold-out politicians and power mafias” responsible for the country’s decline, stating that the nation, achieved through immense sacrifices, today stands contrary to its foundational ideology.

The seminar, titled “The Country’s Situation and Our Responsibilities,” was held in collaboration with the Pakistan and Karachi Grand Alliance.

Participants paid tribute to the Thinker of Pakistan and collectively resolved to strive for the nation’s building in line with Iqbal’s vision. They argued that the country’s conditions cannot improve without “fearless, honest, and sincere leadership.” The speakers lamented that the current national leadership is merely “in name only,” dominated by a “long line of self-serving and sold-out politicians” who are continuously looting the country.

Amid this criticism, the speakers identified PTI founder and Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman as leaders “keeping the lamp of hope lit” for the public. However, they stressed that “the war cannot be won alone” and called for a united struggle against the “power mafia,” urging citizens to draw inspiration from the sacrifices of their elders. Other speakers included Allama Murtaza Khan Rehmani and Muhib Muhammad Ajmal.

Mr. Farooqui also raised the issue of identity, declaring that the descendants of Pakistan’s founders, commonly known as “Muhajirs,” are the nation’s “fifth nationality” under the title of “Muhib Qaum” (Patriotic Nation). He accused the state of failing to implement Pakistan’s objectives by not officially recognizing this community as the country’s “fifth unit” and pledged to continue the struggle for this identity and for the “survival and integrity of our beloved homeland.”

The seminar concluded with prayers for the high ranks of Allama Iqbal, the martyrs of Pakistan, and the overall progress and prosperity of the country.
