At least six people, including children, were killed yesterday, when a truck crushed two auto rickshaws in the Kandhkot region of Pakistan’s southern Sindh province, a local official said.
Deputy Commissioner of the area, Manawwar Ali Mithani, told the media that, a truck fell on two passenger rickshaws at the Saqi Mor area of Kandhkot, a city in the Kashmore district of the province.
Police and rescue teams rushed to the site, lifted the truck with heavy machinery and pulled out the bodies and injured from the crushed vehicles.
The official added that, three children and a woman of the same family were among the deceased.
According to an eyewitness, the truck fell over the rickshaw, after the driver lost control of the speedy loader vehicle, at a sharp curve in the road.
Police have registered a case against the driver, who ran away from the site after the accident
