Sindh Energy Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani said on Tuesday that HESCO, SEPCO and KE would ensure continuous power supply at the places of Muharram congregations and mourning processions from 1st to 12th Muharram.
“Special instructions have also been issued to Hesco, Sepco and KE in this regard,” they said during a meeting at the office of the Sindh Energy Department in Karachi with the religious scholars regarding the issues related to electricity during the Muharram-ul-Haram days.
The meeting was attended by Energy Secretary Mossadiq Ahmed Khan, Karachi Commissioner Hasan Naqvi, Syed Muhammad Taqi, Syed Shabir Raza, Ghafran Mujtaba, Syed Abbas Haider Zaidi, Syed Ali Irfan Abidi, Nazim Ali Rizvi, K-Electric, HESCO, SEPCO.
Shah and Ghani said that the government wanted to give relief to the people by not carrying out load shedding during the night hours so that they could get a night’s comfortable sleep.
