Sindh governor unveils tree plantation drive from Ist August

Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori has announced the launch of a tree plantation drive across the province starting from August 1st under the Governor Initiative.

Emphasizing the urgent need for more trees in the context of climate change, he made this announcement during a meeting with a six-member delegation from the Faizan Global Relief Foundation, led by its CEO Haji Abdul Habib Attari.

Mr Tessori highlighted that the Faizan Global Relief Foundation would play an active role in the tree plantation campaign under the Governor Initiative. The meeting included discussions on public welfare initiatives, Dawat-e-Islami’s religious teachings, and various charitable activities, including the tree plantation drive.

The governor praised Dawat-e-Islami’s contributions to both religious education and welfare activities, noting the commendable efforts in aiding the poor and needy, especially in training the youth.

The delegation lauded the governor’s welfare projects as milestones for society. Haji Abdul Habib Attari informed the Governor Sindh that they had planted three million trees so far and expressed the desire to commence Independence Day celebrations with that tree plantation campaign.
