Sindh and Turkey Collaborate on Education, Agriculture, and Culture Initiatives

The Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, met with Trkiye’s Consul General, Mr. Cemal Sangu, accompanied by TIKA’s Program Coordinator, Halil Ibrahim Basaran. During the meeting, discussions were held on bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest.

The Chief Minister stated that Sindh and Trkiye’s organization TIKA are working together in the fields of education, agriculture, and culture. Consul General Cemal Sangu mentioned that various Turkish projects are ongoing in these sectors.

Murad Ali Shah revealed that an agricultural research center is being established at Tando Jam Agriculture University, and a research center is being set up at Sindh Madressatul Islam University. A two-story building is also being constructed for the Hasan Ali Affandi Research Center at Sindh Madressatul Islam University.

Consul General Cemal Sangu stated that Trkiye is also working on the Makli Tombs in Thatta. Trkiye is providing medical facilities, including hearing aids, in various hospitals.

The Sindh government and Trkiye have agreed to further collaborate in the field of education. TIKA’s head, Halil Ibrahim, has completed his tenure and provided a briefing on the projects undertaken in Sindh during his term. Syed Murad Ali Shah appreciated Halil Ibrahim’s services.
