Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said significant progress was made during their meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran, which concluded on a highly positive note. In a post on X, Mohsin Naqvi said Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and he had a very positive and productive meeting with the President of Iran.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Interior Minister stated that their discussion focused on the Iran-US conflict, tensions in the Middle East, and the way forward. They also discussed the necessary steps for both sides to restore the Islamabad MoU, aiming for a comprehensive settlement of the conflict.
The Iranian President candidly shared his government's perspective and concerns, and there was a very constructive exchange on the issues involved. Naqvi expressed hope that the momentum from this meeting will help pave the way for further progress and lasting peace in the region.
