KARACHI: A team of Sindh Food Authority, led by Director General Sindh Food Authority Agha Fakhar Hussain, visited various canteens, established at Karachi University.

During inspection, poor sanitation situation was found in these canteens. SFA team fined them Rs2 lac over poor sanitation situation. Several canteens were also sealed and these canteens would remain closed until they improve cleanliness situation in their respective canteens.

DG SFA Agha Fakhar Hussain had also a meeting with Vice Chancellor Karachi University Dr. Khalid Iraqi in his office.

It was discussed in the meeting that all canteens would follow SOPs of SFA and gradually those canteens would be given to well known food chains so that they might establish state of art canteens in premises of Karachi University.

DG SFA Agha Fakhar Hussain assured VC KU his full cooperation in this regard.
