Seven labourers hailing from Punjab were shot dead by unidentified assailants in Muhalla Abdul Rehman in Khudaabadan area of Panjgur on the night between Saturday and Sunday.
According to District Police Officer Panjgur, Syed Fazil Shah Bukhari, the labourers were sleeping in their residential compound in Muhalla Abdul Rehman in Khudaabadan area of Panjgur when the attackers gunned them down, adding the slain labourers were residents of Shujabad village in Multan district of Punjab province. He said one labourer received bullet wounds and was shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Panjgur for treatment.
Bukhari said that attackers managed to escape after carrying out the attack, adding security forces had launched a search operation to hunt down the attackers involved in the killing of labourers from Punjab province
Meanwhile, Husband axed his wife to death in Sufaid Makhmar area of district Kohlu in Balochistan province on Sunday.
According to levies, the incident occurred in Sufaid Makhmar area of district Kohlu where husband killed his wife with ax. Cause of the incident could not be ascertained till filing this report. Further investigation is being conducted by the authorities of concerned levies station.
