Senate Holds Fateha for Iranian Supreme Leader’s Departed Soul

Islamabad: The session of the Senate was held at the Parliament House in Islamabad on Monday with Chairman Yousaf Raza Gilani presiding over the meeting. At the beginning of the session, members of the House offered fateha for the departed soul of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was martyred in strikes on Iran recently.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Leader of Opposition Raja Nasir Abbas took the floor to condemn the strikes on Iran and the martyrdom of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He emphasized Iran's right to defend itself against such actions.

The Senate announced that it will reconvene tomorrow at 11:30 am to continue its proceedings.
