RAWALPINDI: Security officials killed two terrorists and recovered a cache of arms and ammunition, including improvised explosive devices (IEDs), in a Balochistan area, according to a statement from the military’s media wing on Friday.

The security forces launched an intelligence-based operation in Hoshab, the military media wing said, adding that the terrorists fired shots at the lawmen as they held their positions.

During the heavy exchange of fire, the two terrorists were killed and arms and ammunition including IEDs recovered. The operation was initiated in Balor area against terrorists linked to firing on security forces and civilians and planting improvised explosive devices on the M-8 motorway, according to the statement.
