The district administration has today imposed a ban on all types of public gatherings in the federal capital, and has warned that any individual participating in protests, demonstrations, or other gatherings will face strict legal consequences.

The city’s administration has announced the imposition of Section 144, under which any type of public gathering has been declared illegal.

In an official notification, the local administration has formally requested citizens to refrain from becoming a part of any such gathering.

The government body has stressed that decisive legal action will be taken against any violation of this directive, especially demonstrations and protests.
