Saudi Parliamentary Delegation Visits Islamabad’s Faisal Mosque

A high-ranking delegation from Saudi Arabia’s Shura Council, headed by General Dr Abdulrahman bin Snhat Al-Harbi, Chair of the Saudi-Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship Committee, toured Islamabad’s Faisal Mosque.

The group, currently in Pakistan at the invitation of the Pakistani government, was greeted upon arrival by Professor Dr. Muhammad Ilyas, Director General of Dawah Academy, and Dr. Qari Zia ur Rehman, Head of the Faisal Mosque Islamic Centre.

The Saudi officials explored the mosque’s architecture, offering admiration for its design. They also participated in Maghrib prayers. Delegation representatives conveyed their respect for the Pakistani populace, emphasizing that the connection between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan transcends formal diplomatic relations and is founded on common religious beliefs and principles.

Professor Ilyas briefed the Saudi contingent on the mosque’s functions, the academy’s divisions, and the educational and scholarly contributions of the International Islamic University Islamabad to the global Muslim community.

This trip is considered an advancement in bolstering the enduring alliance and enhancing interpersonal connections between the two nations.
