ISLAMABAD:Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that his visit to Saudi Arabia is aimed at renewing and reaffirming bonds of brotherhood and friendship.

In a tweet on Thursday, he said he will have wide ranging discussions with the Saudi leadership during the visit. The Prime Minister said Saudi Arabia is one of Pakistan’s greatest friends and as Custodian of the two Holy Places, has a special place in our hearts.

Meanwhile, according to media reports, during his three-day visit to Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will seek an additional package of $3.2 billion from Saudi Arabia. The package is meant to jack up the total facility to $7.4 billion from the existing $4.2 billion to avert further depletion of foreign currency reserves. Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is undertaking visit to Saudi Arabia on the invitation of Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohamed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.
