General Secretary of Pakistan Muslim League Functional Sindh and Information Secretary of the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA), Sardar Abdul Raheem, expressed solidarity with the people of Palestine, asserting that the ongoing resistance in Gaza has awakened global public opinion in support of Palestinian rights.
In a statement, he emphasized that voices of support are rising from across the world, indicating a challenge to the aggressor’s hold. He urged immediate action to halt what he termed as a campaign of human destruction in Gaza. He maintained that peace cannot be achieved without justice and noted that countries including Pakistan are grappling with the consequences of violence.
Raheem called for the establishment of justice-based societies as a precondition for global peace. He appealed to Muslim leaders to unite and support the people of Gaza.
Turning to domestic concerns, he highlighted the deteriorating law and order situation in Sindh. He remarked that kidnapping for ransom has become a widespread issue, while outdated tribal customs continue to claim numerous lives daily. He also pointed to a rise in street crimes where young citizens fall victim to gun violence in urban areas.
He accused law enforcement agencies of operating under the influence of corrupt political leadership, alleging that instead of maintaining order, the police are used for political purposes. He further criticized those in power for pursuing false cases against their opponents rather than addressing public safety.
