ISLAMABAD: The father of slain Canadian national Sara Inam on Wednesday asked the authorities to award the harshest possible punishment to the murderer of his daughter whom he called as tender as a flower, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Father Inamur Rahim told media persons that Sara was born in Libya and got her education from Canada. He said that Sara’s mother wanted her to relocate in Pakistan so that they all could move to their motherland. Mr Rahim said when Sara solemnized marriage with Shahnawaz Amir, she told her parents herself about it saying since she had grown up she could take her own decisions.

The father said since day one Shahnawaz’s actions were suspicious as he wanted to rob his daughter Sara. But on the other hand, the father went on to say, when he and his wife talked to Shahnawaz once or twice, he chatted with them very amicably which revealed his cunning dual personality.

Mr Rahim alleged that Shahnawaz used to take money from Sara time and again but his daughter would not tell her parents. The father made a passionate appeal to the authorities to award an exemplary punishment to the killer of his daughter ‘who has snatched from me my flower-like daughter’.

Sara’s colleagues in Dubai where she used to work in different capacities expressed their shock and heart-felt grievances over her death. They were of the view that she was a kind-hearted woman who was sociable, amicable, lovable, loving and in the words of many ‘had got a heart of gold’ but unfortunately she was not in our amidst anymore.
