ISLAMABAD:Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Youth Affairs Shaza Fatima Khawaja inaugurated the Prime Minister Federal Hockey League here in Islamabad on Wednesday. Addressing the inaugural ceremony, she said the government is organizing Talent Hunt Youth Sports League across Pakistan under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme. She said around 11000 male and female hockey players participated in the Talent Hunt programme for the hockey league of federal areas, including Islamabad Capital Territory, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir.
Shaza Fatima Khawaja said the selected players will represent Islamabad and participate in the upcoming National Games next month along with other provincial teams. She said all possible facilities will be provided to young players to promote healthy activities among the youth. She said we have completed Talent Hunt Programmes in volleyball, wrestling, and weightlifting, while trials in football are continuing.
