Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani has commended the efforts of World Health Organization (WHO) to protect people from epidemics and diseases in flood-affected areas.
During his visit to WHO office in Islamabad on Tuesday, Sadiq Sanjrani said a special health committee has been established on the request of the WHO chief, which would play a key role in providing basic health services to the people of Pakistan especially in Balochistan.
Chairman Senate eulogized Country Director World Health Organization Dr. Pulitha Gunrathana Mahipala for his efforts to providing relief to far-flung areas and underprivileged population of Balochistan.
On the occasion, The WHO Country Director welcomed the Chairman Senate and handed over the necessary medical equipment for the flood-affected districts of Balochistan.
