Salik Terms Makkah Joint Defence Agreement Historic Development

Islamabad: Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, has congratulated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and the entire nation on the signing of the historic Makkah Joint Defence Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Trkiye.

According to Radio Pakistan, Chaudhry Salik Hussain stated that the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement marks a significant development in strengthening the long-standing relations among the three brotherly Muslim countries. He emphasized that this landmark defence cooperation is an important step towards greater unity, solidarity, and protection of shared interests within the Muslim Ummah.

He further mentioned that under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan has prioritized strengthening relations with Muslim countries and promoting regional peace, stability, and collective security. The agreement underscores Pakistan's diplomatic, strategic, and defence role in the region.

Chaudhry Salik Hussain also paid tribute to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the Armed Forces of Pakistan, highlighting that the country's strong defence capabilities ensure peace, security, and sovereignty.
